First of, who are you writing for? Whatever the writing project, whether a small note or a busines plan or long white paper or web-work, pinpoint exactly who the piece should be written for and given to. Great writing means nothing in the wrong hands; only someone with the connections or abilities to improve your situation should be targetted.
Secondly, the piece should be informative and accurate, whether it be web content, a letter, a report, a business plan, or anything else. Basic and pertinent info should be concisely as possible provided. Atlanta executives are busy people.
Thirdly, be persuasive and make a call to action logically drawn from the field of info you have provided. Assume the reader(s) is/are agreeing with your every point. Do not lose sight of the objective of the piece. Everything should be crafted with the final goal in mind.
Fourthly, provide one or more viable solutions to the situation - and explain how your solution(s) would benefit the reader and should obviously obtain his or her or their support. This goes for products, services, actions, written copy, and almost any other situation. Win-win outcomes are to be promoted.
At any rate, these writing tips will help you and your organization with communications, sales, and the bottom line!
