God is the sovereign ruler of the universe and involved
in His Creation. He is a part of everything, including business and economics.
The Creator is concerned about how His children and others conduct business
affairs and economic concerns.
The Bible teaches solid morality, ethics, and honesty for
best results in business activities. About 10% or more of Jesus Christ’s New
Testament teachings concern finances, and the correct use of them. (Tv
preachers preach only about 10% that IS NOT about finances/prosperity. They
have perverted the real Gospel almost completely.)
Jesus is not crazy about people accumulating wealth on
Earth, or the rich in general. The Holy Bible (especially His Gospels and
Proverbs/Psalms) specifies how to conduct what we call Free Trade and
Capitalism in order to live contently and be able to help others and conduct God’s
Great Commission (sharing the Christian Faith).
In a nutshell, mankind is supposed to apply everyday
Christian Principles to business and commerce. The notion that “It is business,
everyone is a little dishonest,” is contrary to God’s way, just as “white lies”
and true “lies” are evil. “Everyone does it” and “Everyone knows” are not
acceptable excuses.
We are to do unto others as we want them to do unto us. This
includes all transactions, work/labor, and personal affairs. Humans are not to
be men pleasers but God pleasers. Everything is to be done for God. He makes
zero exceptions for money-making activities. Get it?
Business is conducted between living and breathing human
beings, and is to be facilitated within God’s guidelines. In fact, work, labor,
and commerce are all supposed to glorify God – people should see Jesus Christ
in our careers and transactions, just like our personal lives.
Everything Christians do at work or home or the bank should
be done to glorify God, and should be conducted in accordance with his
blessing. God lives within Christians, and is therefore our partner in every
single transaction we are involved in and every bit of work we conduct.
Should God be made a party to unethical behavior and
dishonest practices by us that claim to love Him? NOPE.
Let’s take it a step further. Jesus says it is very hard
for rich people to get into Heaven, because they have a love of money (which is
the root of ALL evil). Jesus also says that we are not to accumulate wealth on
Earth, but rather in Heaven.
Furthermore, Jesus tells people (especially well-off
people) to give away what money and possessions they have to follow Him. This
is obviously contrary to what most false tv preachers say, no question. They
love money and possessions, and claim they can be used to attract Converts!
Yes, this New Age Gospel is full of insane rationalizing.
It is the Holy Spirit that attracts and convicts true Believers. If someone
wants Jesus because they want wealth, they are not truly being converted at all
– Christianity is about repentance and believing on Christ as a payment for
their sins, not receiving cash.
In fact, the Lord also states that if you follow Him, you
might not even have a place to stay or lay your head sometimes, but in general
God will provide for your needs. He loves and cares for those that keep His
Commandments and love Him. The Lord even feeds the sparrows.
We must remember that if God wanted Christians wealthy,
Jesus’ own family would have been wealthy. Did Jesus’ family do it all wrong?
They were of very modest means, paying the lowest of Temple offerings (birds).
These tv preachers need to learn this, or else quit lying
about it and inferring that Jesus’ family was a group of Temple tax cheats. Understand?
But, the tv fakes are not the only bad actors in this
play. As individuals, we are each responsible to God Himself for how we do
things. This includes our desires and stewardship of the money and wealth He
allows us to use.
Remember, all money and wealth and material things are
God’s (not ours) despite what these New-Agers like Copeland, DuPlantis,
Murdock, and these other “Prosperity Preachers” that rarely preach the Cross of
Christ might claim.
Their gimmicks will likely eventually be their own demises,
if they do not change their deceptive and off-base ways….
