Business Plan: Are Business Plans Required

In the recent past, there is no question that detailed business plans were an absolute necessitty for obtaining financing for new business endeavors or expansions. These days you still need them, but in a slightly different way.

Bankers, venture capitalists, and financiers in Atlanta, Marietta, Roswell, and other places have finally come to realize that the projections and forecasts included in business plans are generally inaccurate and all over the board.

The financial, sales, and revenues projections for even the first 2 years are not reliable. What is important, however, is the core mission and operational ideas of how the business or organization will function. Is the idea good enough to invest or loan into?

A solid business plan consultant or businss plan developer will now focus on the basics, the soundness of the idea itself, and the managers themselves, and worry far less about including so many numbers that will likely be inaccurate anyway.

Business plans have become more conceptual, is the point. They are more like blueprints than ever before, which I feel is a good thing. YES, they are required!

Owners and entrepreneurs can now focus on what really matters in the middle and long-term. and the busines plans presented are more factual an less speculative.
